(Jack) Kelso Jr., 62, of Clark's Summit, Pa., and formerly of York, Pa., died Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pa., after a brief illness. He was born in Greencastle, Pa., the son of Phyllis (Shatzer) Kaiser, Fayetteville, Pa., and the late John S. Kelso Sr. He graduated from Scotland School for Veterans Children in 1959. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving twelve years in the U. S. Navy. He was formerly employed by Maple Press in Manchester, Pa., where he served as a Union Steward for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He also owned his own video business, Go Video, and was involved in YCAT in York, Pa. In recent years he became actively involved in Democratic politics. He was the companion of devoted friend, Teresa Welby. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Lawrence Kaiser Jr., Fayetteville, Pa.; a son, Dale, and two grandchildren, Dylan and Jenna of Winona, MN; two sisters, Judi Cushing of Sun City, Az. and Ellen Shaffer of Waynesboro, Pa.; one brother, David Kaiser of Evergreen, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, May 16th from 2 to 4 p.m. at 2965 West Canal Road in Dover, Pa.
