"BET" McCLEARY MONN, 80, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home and formerly of 444 Broad St., Chambersburg, died at 9:35 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2001, in the nursing home. Born Aug. 21, 1920, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Elizabeth (Cunningham) Kump. Her first husband, Lester E. McCleary, died in 1969 and her second husband, James D. Monn, died in 1998. Mrs. Monn was a 1940 graduate of Chambersburg High School. She was a waitress for Frank's Pizza. She also had been employed by Maria's Hoagie Shop, Knouse Foods, Sears, Corning, Hollander Auto, J.J. Newberry's and F.W. Woolworth's. She attended New Franklin Assembly of God. Mrs. Monn is survived by one daughter, Connie E. Kaiser of Chambersburg; two sons, Stephen L. McCleary and S. Michael McCleary, both of Chambersburg; nine stepchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Zeger of St. Thomas and Wilda Senseny of Sebring, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 34 stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 49 step-great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in New Franklin Assembly of God Church, 2355 New Franklin Road, with the Rev. Robert A. Hallquist officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, and one hour prior to services Thursday in the church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St.; the American Heart Association Franklin/Fulton Division, 225 E. King St.; or New Franklin Assembly of God, 2355 New Franklin Road, all of Chambersburg, Pa. 17201. --
